I have scratches on legs from gardening that are inflamed and itchy for a week. Taking antihistamine and bite cream but haven't reduced as yet.

Contact reaction : What you describe sounds like allergic contact dermatitis to plant material. The only effective treatment is steroids. Have your primary care physician evaluate the rash and prescribe something that will work for you.
