A member asked:

What does a normal/healthy perineum feel like? i can't tell if mine is hard, or if that's how it's suppose to be.

Perineum: The perineum in females is the area between the vagina and the anus. It is covered in skin. Below the skin is fat, muscle and connective tissue. The way it feels exactly is going to vary slightly between one person and another. Body type, weight, age, muscle strength and how many vaginal deliveries are all factors. Next time you see a gynecologist don’t be embarrassed to ask them to look.

Nerf Football...: Although it varies from normal person to person, on average it is the consistency of your standard Nerf football.
