Fetal distress: Fetal distress is a term which is used to indicate that the fetus, ( ie baby inside the womb) is in trouble. This trouble usually occurs during labor, but sometimes it may precede onset of labor. Causes include cord compresson, placental prolems related to maternal health before and during pregnancy. If you maintain good health your fetus will be healthy enough to respond well to treatments.
