See a dermatologist: Color change is one of the ABCDE's of melanoma. Most moles turn out to be benign, but you need to check and please, don't wait. Make an appointment with a dermatologist as soon as possible.

Mole : color change of a mole should be evaluated by a dermatologist. Suggest you set up an annual skin check with a local dermatologist. You can find a dermatologist covered by your insurance by looking on your insurance provider website.

See doctor: Change in color, size, shape, bleeding or swelling of a mole all warrant examination by a doctor and may require removal of the lesion for examination by a pathologist.

See your doctor: Moles that change in color, size, or cause itching need to be seen and evaluated by your doctor. Those are more worrisome signs that the mole could mean a skin cancer. It may need to be surgically removed.
