Yes...: You are correct, regarding the pharmacology and metabolism, they are both CYP450: 2D6 substrates and metabolized through the liver. They may have additive effects including lowering blood pressure, leading to symptoms of dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting. Thus, not recommended to take together except under the direction of a physician (if both medications are absolutely needed).
