The : The main ingredient in both oxycodone and Codeine are pain killers in the opioid family. Unless specifically instructed to do so by a doctor, taking both together can lead to an overdose since they are both in the same drug class. If you are having pain and your medications don't seem to be helping, call your doctor to discuss dosages, alternatives, and a safe plan to treat your pain. Good luck!

Not routinely: Taking oxycodone and Codeine together may cause an increased mental and respiratory depression which depending on the dose and size of the patient could be dangerous.
