I have bronchitis. i have been taking a zpak and a cough syrup for 2 days. i am still coughing horribly with lower abdomin pain. should i go to the er?

7-10 days: minimum time 2-3 weeks is also realistic plus use of a good expectorant like Robitussin DM (guaifenesin and dextromethorphan) or Delsym DM ,tea and honey, broth, bullion, consume'. I am an advocate of zinc to promote healing ( Cold-Eze lozenges or Zicam). If you are severely short of breath or cough up blood- go to the ER: short of that prepare for about 2 weeks of misery. Hint: hot steam showrs and breath in vapor 4-5 times/day.
