No risk, no worries: Rabies is not transmitted until the infected persons has had it quite a while. Even if your boyfriend caught rabies, you couldn't catch it from him for at least a few weeks. Even then, human to human transmission is exceedingly rare, if it happens at all. Of course your bf needs to see a doctor (or speak with the health department) ASAP about the bite and whether he needs rabies shots.
