Please help. stage 4 cancer and 1st chemotherapy session delayed 2 weeks due to medical oncologist moving to a new nearby office location. acceptable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on Ca: A number of different malignancies defined as stage IV when mets noted. Depending on the virulence of the cancer the initiation of treatment will be more or less effective in obtaining a response. Colon or breast cancer delay in treatment by 2 wks will play a minor role in response or survival. Metastatic pancreatic cancer or tumor metastatic to brain require a more intense and rapid initiation
