Yikes.: It seems odd that this type of pain and restricted motion exists without some degree of swelling and/ or inflammation. At least it was not noted in your description. Clearly, something is going on. Either physical(trauma) of chemical(gout). Regardless, your condition is best treated by a direct examination that would include x-ray and possibly some blood work.
