The ball of my foot under my big toe is hurting when i put pressure on it. is there something i can do to relieve pain besides pain killers.

Pain med not good.: Pain medications are not the answer for an undiagnosed condition. It only masks the symptoms while the medication is in your system. Anti-inflammatories would be a better choice. It has a therapeutic effect. An x-ray should be taken to rule out a possible sesamoid fracture.

Rest: Try ice, and heat 20 minutes each. And rest to allow injury to heal.

Dancer's pads...: I didn't name them, but there is a pad you can use called a 'dancer's pad' that will take pressure off the area while it heals. You can buy some at the link below... http://www.hapad.com/products/dancer-pads.html.
