Can my 7 yr old daughter take claritin (loratadine) allergy medicine with antibiotics azithrom doctor gave bromfed .strep throat and running nose and sneezing bad?

Timing: Have her take the clariten in the morning. Give Azithromycin as directed once a day. I would make sure not to give the bromfed (brompheniramine) within six hours of the Clariten. Use a cool mist humidifier at bedside at night to help calm the cough and soothe the throat. Try some otc Nasocort at night as cough due to runny nose/irritated throat. Cough meds rarely help.

Yes: she can take Claritin (loratadine) for the sneezing and runny nose and azithromycin for strep throat. If you have any other concerns or condition worsened, you need to call her pediatrician.
