Go for it: You should be able to eat chips now. Be sure to rinse your mouth after eating. You know the answer for smoking. Why not take this opportunity to quit? A patch or nicotine gum will help you. Good luck

Not recommended: Dentists recommend that you avoid crunchy food and smoking for one week, because it can dislodge the blood clot and can lead to problems like dry socket.
