GERD / H. pylori: Your symptoms are consistent with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The pain and burping is caused from acid coming up from the stomach into the esophagus. The stomach acid causes irritation to the esophagus which can lead to serious problems. H. pylori is a bacteria that can live in the stomach and can cause GERD. H. pylori can be cured. Consider having a blood test for H.pylori.
