Not normal: Having cramps starting right after your period isn't normal. A bladder infection (cystitis) could give symptoms of crampy pain, but would more likely be in the central pubic area, and would often be accompanied by urinary frequency, urgency or pain on voiding. If your pain persist get examined. Perhaps you have a symptomatic ovarian cyst. http://bit.ly/1OiIRcI

Right sided pain: You are likely ovulating, which occurs about two weeks into your monthly cycle. The follicle that releases the egg sometimes spills some fluid or blood at the same time, which can cause more pain during a particular cycle. If the pain worsens or doesn't fade after several days, you may want to be evaluated.
