Needs checking: I would be concerned about anything painful and white on the sole of the foot in an older person. Pressure sores can present this way. If she has diabetes or any kind of medical condition that reduces circulation this needs to be seen pretty soon by her MD as it may be the tip of an iceberg. Keep foot elevated - check her shoes for poor fit - massage gently around the area and make her an appt
