A member asked:

I was told that after a collarbone breaks it becomes stronger after it heals. i don't remember why, it was a while ago. is this true?

Probably not: Bone heals by forming a ring of new bone around the fracture - hence the bump you find on clavicle fractures. Once healed it absorbs and usually goes back to normal shape. Depending on your overall bone health, your collar bone should return to about as good as it was before. Be sure to eat healthy - get enough calcium and vit d in your diet to promote overall good bone health.
