You may do more than you think sooner and it may take longer if you don't do what you should or overdo it. Bones usually heal in 4-6 weeks, (generalized).

6 weeks: Most fractures heal in 6 weeks. It takes longer for more displaced fractures or fractures in patients with poor health. When the bone is no longer painful and you can move the arm overhead without discomfort, the fracture is stable and likely healed. See a board certified orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation and treatment.
