Clavicle fractures: Clavicle fractures typically do not need surgery. Nonoperative treatment results in callous formation-this is that bump you noticed. Your body is attempting to heal the fracture. Depending how displaced your fracture was, you may or may not have a permanent bump when it completely heals at about 12 weeks. Sounds like you are doing well-just keep wearing a sling and follow up with your doc.

Callous: When you fracture a bone the healing causes a formation called a callous. This is sort of a healing bridge or exuberant bone growth and repair around the fracture. That is the usual cause of that bump. Of course, knowing nothing else about you such as age and other conditions does not permit a fully accurate response. But that is the usual reason for a "bump"
