Yes: When the colon is filled with hard stool it can press against the thin skin between the anus and scrotum. This can cause the pain he is feeling. Make sure he is drinking lots of water and taking lots of fiber. Contact his MD tomorrow to discuss options to help relieve constipation and may need to consider change to pain management.
