Vocal nodules: Most patients experience problems with vocal quality when they have vocal nodules. This can be hoarseness of your talking voice, singing voice or vocal fatigue. Decreased vocal range is common. The sensation of a lump is not common, but if it occurs, it will likely be constant. A lump in your throat is more likely to be from reflux, which often occurs simultaneously with vocal nodules.
