Insect sting: possibly wasp, it's that time of year. Ouch. You can try ice immediately for the pain, remove the stinger if there is one with tweezers, and try a mild solution of ammonia to neutralize the toxin. After 12 hours though, nothing to do but cool compresses and look for any signs of infection. Tylenol (acetaminophen) could help with pain.
