A member asked:

My blood count was 7.54. dr put me on iron and vit b complex. is this enough? should i be more worried and doing more?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably: A hemoglobin level of 7.54 suggests a severe anemia. In young women, mild anemia can at times be from excess menstruation and treated with iron alone, however with more severe anemia the cause should be understood and corrected. Your doctor should know more about the cause in this situation and the plan to correct it, and it would be appropriate to ask about this.
