Stop whitening: Stop whitening as the material may cause harm to your gum and surrounding tissue. White area should go away after1-2 weeks. Please check with your dentist in 2 weeks if it does not clear.

It will: Excess material is bleaching your gums... not good. Are you using too much get or non-custom trays? Custom trays from your dentist provide the best results. Chemical burns from excess gel can cause problems. Be careful.

Wait 48-72 hours: White gums is usually caused by chemicals in the whitening gel. The periodontal tissue is usually back to normal with 48-72 hours. This is not unusual and not a problem as long as it is only occasional and not going on for more then 1 week.
