Yes: Sure, but it will not stay long enough to do much good. The object of the trays is to keep it controlled and in contact with the tooth, and not get washed out/diluted.

Yes, but....: The gel will not be as effective as the saliva will quickly dilute the peroxide. For bleaching gels to work they need 1. Intimate contact and 2. Time- the longer the better. Without the trays it is hard to achieve much effect.

NO!: The "gel" is actually peroxide and it can burn your gums. The reason for the custom bleaching trays is to keep the whitening gel where we want it, on the teeth! this will allow you to get maximum effectiveness out of the product!
