Check ferritin level: first, you should see a neurologist to confirm that your symptoms are from restless leg and not another disorder. Once the diagnosis is made, ferritin levels are usually checked (along other labs to rule out other disorders). If the levels are low or low normal, then ferrous sulfate 325 mg two to three times a day should help bring the levels up. If that doesn't work, there are other meds.
