Biliary reflux : If you have been diagnosed with this, then you may know it is similar to gastric (stomach) reflux. We believe risk factor include alcohol use, caffeine, fatty foods, and obesity. BUT, there is still a lot we don't know about it. We treat it with PPIs, like Prevacid, Prilosec or Nexium (esomeprazole). If that is not helpful, there are motility agents a gastroenterologist can prescribe.
