OFTEN A BUG BITE: The soft tissue of the eyelid will often swell in response to a simple bug bite on the skin nearby. Examine the area closely, sometimes using a flashlight at an angle to the skin will expose the bite mound. If so, these often swell for a day or so and gradually fade.If the kid itches, benedryl can help. If it continues to swell, changes color or drains, see a doc. Otherwise you can watch it.
