Ans: When there is an abnormality it must be examined and the etilogy must be found. The wbc going up is abnormal and must look for the cause. There are many reasons why the abc goes up. But over some time if the cause is not found on exam or further studies you may want to see a hematologist and have further studies done

Only a blood test: WBC is only a blood test, found to be elevated ,low, or normal not as significant as what were the symptoms associated with it,there is a list of condition that can cause transit elevation of WBC without meaning infection. your PCP can help you interpreted your result and make sure that you do not have some kind of blood disease,or immune system problem that could be causing this. good luck.

Of course: Total white cell count fluctuates wildly, as do the absolute counts for different components. Half an hour in a cold shower can shoot your neutrophils to 20,000. Truth be told, you'll feel better if you ignore your labs and get back into an intensive, fitness-focused lifestyle. Find some folks who'll help you enjoy your youth and be thankful for good health. Best wishes.
