Periods: You should see your doc soon. It is not clear whether you are having some endocrine disorder or not but discuss it with him and he can guide a work up or send you to a gynecologist.

GYN: You are having breakthrough vaginal bleeding, most likely due to variations and fluctuations in your female hormone levels. I advise a PAP, pelvic exam, hormone levels and BC pills to regulate your cycle.

DUB: You may have DUB (dysfunctional uterine bleeding), a common occurrence caused by continuous estrogen stimulation to your uterus. Did you have a recently positive pregnancy test? Are you taking hormonal contraceptives with recent dose change? You can watch your periods for 3 months since DUB may correct itself. If not, see your clinician. Hope that helps.

Irregular period: Different bleeding patterns are not all that unusual but to be sure make sure you are not pregnant. If the symptoms persist see your doctor.
