Get a firm diagnosis: The reason for the discomfort would dictate the treatment. Bad tension headaches are treated different than migraines which are treated different from atypical seizures which are treated differently than intracranial pathology. Some migraine meds are available in nose sprays/ shots. Many meds can be compounded to dissolvable tables or suppositories or even transdermal creams 2 bypass swallowing.
