Hi, my dr prescribed me metronidazole gel for bacterial vaginosis once a day for 5 days. i am experiencing a yellow clumpy discharge. is this normal?

Yeast? Recheck w/ MD: You say nothing about timing. How soon after starting or finishing metronidazole? Any other symptoms, like itching or irritation? Antibiotics like metronidazole can result in yeast infection, which often causes "clumped" discharge -- although usually white, and main symptom usually is itching etc. Best to check back with the doctor who treated your BV.
