Stress: stress is the number one cause as it diminishes our immune system. If u have children now, they would be a reservoir of viruses too which are the number one causes of the common cold, and especially if the kids go to day care or school. I would still recommend seeing primary care doc for basic panel blood work like CBC, CMP, TSH, B12/Folic Acid, and to evaluate u physically. Hope this helps
