Not typical: The symptoms you are describing are not typical reactions for that drug. If you are concerned that you might be having a negative reaction to a medication, change, please follow up with the prescribing physician.

Possible, not likely: These aren’t common side effects of simvastatin but there have been isolated reports of sleep disturbances, so while not likely related simvastatin, never say never. In particular lovastatin - a different statin - there are case reported of sleep disturbances and appetite loss. If you the dreams are disturbing and if you are concerned anyway, you should discuss the experience with your doctor.
