Unlikely: Xanax (alprazolam) dose is very low and duration is only a week. Stopping abruptly should not be a problem. You are not addicted based on what you say. However, prescribing doctor should be advising you. You've expressed a fear common for someone with high anxiety. A drug-seeking person wouldn't ask this question. Take care.
