Am i hacking up mucus from my lungs or from post nasal drip/allergies. it's constant clear and sticky to yellow/thick. i don't know what's causing it.

Simple answer: Go see an allergist see if the doc can figure out whats irritating the mucous membranes in nose or back of the throat, might do ct of sinuses, , donot use any perfumes til then Mucinex (guaifenesin) would help. Some times acid reflux gives you same symptoms.
