Acute Sinusitis: Allergic rhinitis can cause increased nasal congestion, cough, runny nose that can lead to discolored sputum, facial pain/pressure, nasal blockage, fevers, and loss of taste/smell which are symptoms concerning for an acute sinus infection. Daily steroid nasal sprays and other allergy medications can help reduce or prevent these infections. See an Allergist for further workup and evaluation.
