Surrounding skin around mole becomes red when rubbed barely. no others do this. derm said it looked normal. is this common?

It can be normal: If the lesion is vascular ( has a lot of blood flow) it may become red when irritated it can not hurt to get a second opinion or surgically remove it completely to be sure.

MOLE RED WHEN RUBBED: IT IS NOT UNCOMMON. WAIT A FEW WEEKS AND IF IT PERSISTS SEE YOUR DERM AGAIN. HE MAY WANT TO CUT IT OUT AND HAVE IT EXAMINED BY A PATHOLOGIST BEST LUCK
