See details: There are several causes of hip pain. Many who believe they have hip pain actually have back pain. See a rheumatologist or orthopedist and have it evaluated.

SIJ ? : 23y fem. w. unilateral "hip pain worse move/pressure" absent mechanical injury likely has sacroiliac joint, SIJ, disorder or soft tissue injury low back. Pain w. pressure suggests disordered pelvic girdle & SIJ. If chronic, etiologic origin might be Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, JHS. Childbirth potentiates SIJ disorder in women w. JHS. Osteopaths skilled at solving this differential diagnosis.

Soft tissue disorders of ligaments, tendons, muscles & fascia result from both acute & repetitive stress mechanisms of injury; are relatively radiolucent & undetected by imaging studies. Knowledge of body biomechanics & musculoskeletal functions are within skill sets of Osteopaths, Psyiatrists & Physical Therapists; all who oft use sensitive touch to diagnose/evaluate.

If Joint Hypermobility Syndrome is suspected, then the Beighton Hypermobility Scoring System needs to be reviewed: http://hypermobility.org/help-advice/hypermobility-syndromes/beighton-score/
