Cervix length: The normal length of the cervix on ultrasound is 3.5-4 cm so you are close to normal. Most doctors worry when the cervix is less than 2.5 cm earlier in pregnancy and associated contractions. If there is a concern by your doctor another ultrasound may be helpful and certainly if you have contractions be checked. But based on the current length and your gestation I don't think there is a big worry.

Clinical details: A cervical length of 3.4 cm at 32 weeks is pretty normal. If your doctor counseled you regarding risk of preterm labor you should ask for clarification what specific risk factors for preterm labor you have and what treatment plan needs to be in place
