Cervical length ?'s: It is not unusual for the cervical length to decrease during pregnancy, however, at "13 weeks" of pregnancy, the growing fetus is not generally the cause. If you have had no prior premature labor, the majority of pregnancies to not result in an "incompetent cervix" which results in premature delivery or surgical correction. Continued U/S to follow cervical length is advised.
