Colon polyps.: If your sister's colon polyps were the precancerous type, called adenomatous polyps, then you should have a colonoscopy now rather than waiting until age 50. They do run in families, and removing them before they can become cancer can be life-saving. I would see a gastroenterologist immediately. Do not delay. Good luck.
