Laxatives: using a laxative no more than once a month will usually not be harmful. However, one should only do this if it is truly necessary. Laxatives should only be used when truly constipated. They are not useful if you are not constipated and they are not good for weight loss. If you do take them, be sure to let your doctor know that you do use them. Good luck.
