Why don't you sit down and take a diet history of what you eat and how much for the next two weeks. Then make a virtual appt. or see a live gastroenterologist nearby. You may have mega colon and need bowel retraining (no kidding)!

Not long!: Laxatives can be habit forming but they do not cause addiction. So your body(Bowels) will get used to their absence and start adjusting its functions over 1 to 2 weeks. Tell us more....when did you stop using them and how have you done in terms of your bowel movements now(without laxatives)????
