Macular hole: likely you mean macular hole as it is not possible to have a hole in the optic nerve (unless you have had penetrating trauma or severe blinding glaucoma). The prognosis depends on depth of macular hole. Ocriplasim has shown promise: see Eyedoc2020.blogspot.com if need more info.
