A member asked:

Hi i have yellow tint to the upper portion of my eyeballs what could this be? it's only when i lift the upper lid . the rest of my eye is white.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely normal: You are probably noticing normal conjunctival tissue variations. The upper eyelid protects the upper eyeball from UV, drying, dust, etc., which generally keeps the tissue thicker and slightly different in its appearance. This is unlike the conjunctiva that is exposed between the eyelids (intrapalpebral) which is generally thinner with more prominent blood vessels.
