Gas/back pain: Yes it can nbe gas in the colon because the colon goes up far. Alternatively could be gallbaldder ,rarely I have seen pneumonia or a clot appear like this(but you would be SOB or have a fast heart rate) or depending position coudl be kidney stone or musculoskeletal.
