Hard to say: but one would suspect something from the new bedspread might be the cause- although it may have nothing to do with it at all. If you have put away the new bedspread and continue to have the skin rash more than a week after, consider seeing a dermatologist. In the meanwhile, try topical hydrocortisone cream.
