Get Strep Test: Depending on other potential signs and symptoms - fever, lack of cough, tonsillar exudates, and/or anterior cervical tender adenopathy, you may have strep throat, which can cause a "strawberry tongue." However, 90% of pharyngitis is viral, so antibiotics would not be indicated unless strep test positive or drys suspicion for strep is very high. Take Care!
