It shouldn't pulse: A pulse in that area means there could an artery out of place, a weakened swollen artery, or that you have a firm mass transmitting the aortic or other arterial pulse to the abdominal wall. You should seek medical attention now. Do not delay.

Some of us can feel: ...a pulse anywhere in the abdomen if we push hard; that could be normal. But the liver and hepatic & pancreatic ducts that transport bile to your intestine are also in that area. Your large bowel takes a sharp bend at both the left & right upper abdomen. Abnormality or dysfunction of any of these structures, or a gall stone left behind after surgery, can cause pain. See your doctor! Please!
